This Franchisee/Licensee Suitability Profile has been compiled from a job and person analysis in relation to the role that a Franchisee plays in Franchise/lLicensee system.
The profile fulfils three functions:
- It defines the attributes thought to be predictors of successful performance for a franchised/licensed retailer/distributor/operator. (Attributes are defined as skills, knowledge, values, drives or other characteristics that make a significant contribution to the Franchisee's/Licensee's success).
- It provides the Franchisor with an objective, reliable and efficient bench marking system for rating a potential Franchisee's/Licensee's strengths, development needs and overall suitability for the system.
- It significantly reduces the likelihood of appointing a potential Franchisee that is not yet ready, willing or able to function effectively within the system.
An effective Franchisee/Licensee is defined as someone who runs a profitable business, builds an expanding base of loyal customers, and supports the values of professionalism and trustworthiness on which the system and brand are based.
