Team Leadership Development Program
Leadership Development is integral to the achievement of any organisation's goals and ultimate success.

PINNACLE Business Solutions is committed to the development of our clients' management and their employees and the Team Leadership Development Program is the first in a series of steps in achieving this.

The Team Leadership Development Program has been specifically designed as a series of learning modules with executive coaching support throughout the 5 - 6 month program. We have developed the model below, however the model is flexible and would be delivered based on the organisation/s workplace needs. The flow chart below demonstrates how this tailored program/s would be delivered over a 24 - 26 week period.




The classroom modules and follow-up on-the-job executive coaching provide an excellent opportunity for participants to gain new knowledge and skills and then apply this in the workplace. The PINNACLE Business Solutions Team Leadership and Executive Coaching program is designed primarily for team leaders, co-ordinators and managers who are leading team-based people in their organisation.


 

Learning Modules

The Team Leadership Development Program consists of (12) learning modules, varying in duration from 1 hour to 7 hours, delivered in a highly interactive classroom environment, over 5 x 1 day training sessions of 7 hours per day.  At the beginning of day/s 2, 3, 4 and 5, we spend 60 – 75 minutes, reviewing the previous training modules and trainee/s application of new knowledge and skills in the workplace.

The program may be tailored to the individual and/or organisational needs. Other possible/alternative modules that could be included in the program, additionally or in place of above modules

Learning Environment Goals

Participants in the Team Leadership Development Program will have the following opportunities:

  • to work with colleagues at the same managerial level to further develop their management and leadership skills,
  • to develop a greater sense of team work and therefore, team support amongst their colleagues and peers,
  • to serve as a reminder that team leadership is a many faceted challenge,
  • to provide a springboard for areas of interest and concern which you (participant) deem worthy of greater discussion,
  • to develop useful team leadership and management skills to support you (participant) in your work (a toolbox of skills to use),
  • to align management skills to reflect the values that will enable your organisation to drive the services forward,
  • to provide opportunities to share team leadership inquiry, challenges and experiences across the organisation.

The Facilitators / Executive Coaches

Phil Daly

Phil Daly has been involved with improving people's performance in both small and large organisations, at both staff and management levels, for over 20 years.

It is as a result of his years of work with small and large businesses, that Phil decided many business owners and executives needed someone with whom to discuss ideas and talk about any obstacles that may get in the way of the success of their business or company. As a coach or facilitator, Phil can help people develop awareness, plan and implement actions to change things in their business or organisation themselves.

Phil holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Management, with majors in Organisation Development and Adult Learning, and is a member the International Association of Coaching.

Allison Summers

Allison has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management, with experience as a manager in the US business sector. Holding positions in a variety of industries (including defense electronics, commercial development, cosmetics, film and television, fashion, and grocery) she gained a greater perspective on a number of industries while observing some commonalities in human behavior.

After moving to Australia, Allison completed a Graduate Bachelor of Education at James Cook University . Running her own training and consulting business has allowed Allison to design and deliver hundreds of training/strategic planning programs in Australia and overseas while witnessing the challenges common to most organisations. 

Belief in the importance of interpersonal skills, personal accountability, and balance in the work place has led Allison to pursue a career path educating those who wish to excel in their personal and professional lives.  Believing that balance and harmony in these areas can assist us in reaching our true potential, Allison employs interactive learning techniques and modern “conscious as cause” models, which stimulate learner participation and a greater integration of existing knowledge.

Ian Macdonald

Following a teaching career in Melbourne primarily at Caulfield Grammar School, Ian entered industry with Nissan Australia in the mid-80s. Ian holds degree qualifications in mathematics, biology, education and sociology and also has a diploma in retailing.

Ian has been involved in Sales & Marketing both with Nissan and recently with Caltex Australia – both roles embraced Learning & Development and general management functions within the organisation.

In consulting to Caltex Franchised and Distributor networks, Ian developed on-line solution based packages for the recruitment, selection and on-going performance management of employees to provide cost effective solutions for clients.

Throughout 2005 Ian has operated as an independent coach and consultant consulting to a variety of companies in the human and business and professional services, petroleum and mining industries.
